Can anyone tell me what the impact of running these apps on the computer are? Are these actually making changes to the system or are they running like widgets using up tons of resources for each of these apps?
Hello,I have forwarded your question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

start 11 / fences / groupy are explorer.exe extensions and hook to the explorer to function. Object docks seem to be more like the traditional widget (not 100 percent). I do not think anything other then memory is used for all of the programs.
Are you aware of how much memory?
All of our apps are installed, not portable, if that is your question here.

Its a broad question and varies by app but the apps themselves use very little resources. It would be prudent to install the trial for each to see exactly what is used on your system.

My ObjectDock 3.01 is using 8.8mb of memory if that helps.
It does help, thank you!
I've since repurchased the software and have been running it for a bit now.
CursorFX is using roughly .2 to .4% cpu intermittently - 4.1mb of ram
Deskscapes is using 1.2mb of ram
Object Desktop is using 45mb of ram
ObjectDock is using 30.5mb of ram
You likely mean 'Object Destkop Manager' as Object Desktop is not actually an app (its a suite of).
