Windows 11 didn't like Start10 being installed, so I upgraded it, didn't like it.
Removed it and Windows 11 install assistant still thinks it is installed.
Has this been something others have seen and if so, how do they fix it?

A bunch of windows updates won’t install. They just say “retry” and every time I retry, it doesn’t work. This is a brand new laptop, and I’ve installed as little software as I could to keep Windows from getting too unstable. Pretty much all I’ve done is uninstall a bunch of OEM preinstalled crap, installed one piece of Intel software necessary for school, and installed powertoys, Firefox, Bitwarden, and WSL. It came with McAfee preinstalled; could there be a part of that that it wouldn’t uninstall and is causing me problems? Did I wait too long to reinstall windows? I’ve only had it for less than a month.
I’d be shocked if it has a virus, I’m really careful about that. I never log into stuff unless I absolutely have to. I pretty much only go online with Firefox to my school’s websites. I try very hard to only install cinema hd software with Winget.
I’ve tried restarting, and that hasn’t fixed it. I don’t know what else I can try, I don’t know much about Windows. I’ve tried to be good about staying on top of updates so it doesn’t have to install too many updates at once, because I don’t want some weird update stuff to happen.
How do I get these updates to install? I have some work I need to get done and I don’t want windows to boot me off so it can update.
If it becomes unusably unstable, I don’t know what I’d be able to do. I don’t have any other Windows computer to create a fresh installation media.
