Feature request for Windows 11 / windows pro / ect. Styles

Ability to stretch an icon outside their current parameters and have it go further into the tile space.

This would be useful in two ways.

1. A little outside the parameters When using custom icon images as sometimes the weirder shaped icons can turn out pretty small under the current parameters.

2. If the text is turned off on the tile then even more space could be used just for the icon instead.

Start11 is still using Libraries? Please make the Start Menu's Links point to the appropriate folders set by the user.

I have to edit the application's [Links] folder's contents so that the Library shortcuts are pointing to the folders I have designated to use for music, pictures, videos, etc. every time.

First off, I've got to say, I'm a big fan of the recent updates, especially the ability to pin files and folders directly to the taskbar. It's a real game-changer for quick access and productivity.

However, I've noticed that this feature seems to be limited when it comes to multi-monitor setups. Right now, it appears that pinned items on the taskbar are mirrored across all monitors, which doesn't give us the option to customize each taskbar separately.

I've got a 5 monitor setup and frequently find myself working on different projects on each screen or I want to run programs only specific to this monitor. Being able to pin specific folders or files to the taskbar on each monitor would be incredibly beneficial for my workflow.

Is there any chance we could see this feature expanded to support multi-monitor setups? It would be fantastic if each monitor could have its own set of taskbar pinned items. I can't be the only one who'd find this incredibly useful!

I am still finding with Start11 v2 (including latest beta 1.02) problems when undocking my Dell laptop.

When docked I use a 4K monitor (3840x2160) and when undocked use my laptop screen (1920x1080).

When I undock and use my laptop screen (switching from 3840x2160 to 1920x1080) Start 11v2 the task bar crops to the right as shown.

I did do a complete uninstall, reboot and install then reboot when upgrading to the latest beta. I also passed Go and collected $200

I do run DisplayFusion and this problem occurs with DF installed and uninstalled.

Even if I right click on the Start button to get into Start11 v2 settings and toggle the taskbar to be left or centered nothing happens. The only way round this is to do a restart of Windows Explorer or connect the dock back. Can't you add a Restart Explorer option to the right click menu on the Start button as a workaround?

Would love to get this fixed once and for all!

No, just regular tabs created as the others.

The option 'show recently installed apps' is always enabled at start-up, even if I disable it in the options menu of Start 11. I use the new Windows Pro Style.

By the way, Start 11 is awesome. Without it, I would have never switched to Windows 11, which has a really awful Start Menu.

I'm really glad to see Start11 v2, since the feature I miss the most from Windows10 is the ability to add Toolbars (from folders).  So, the new Pin Folders is great! 

First, the specifics:

A small list (don't know the limit) in a folder works fine:

But if the folder contains many items, this happens:

You can see that the popup window appears to be incomplete, since the top is somewhere above the top of the monitor.  So, as it stands, this feature is unusable for this particular folder.

Also, a suggestion: the 2-column popup, even if I could see it all, is row-ordered, rather than column-ordered, which is more common, at least on Windows (and also harder to do in code   ).  Maybe a setting to choose which ordering in the popup?

And, finally, remembering a feature of the Windows 10 Toolbar...the order of the items could be changed by dragging to a different position in the list - and it even stayed after restarting the computer (sometimes).

All in all, Start11 is a great product!  It has kept me productive after being forced to upgrade to Windows 11 (and without any warning).

Hardest part was finding the right thread to reply to, as older ones were locked and it wasn't obvious.

In any case, I had 1.47 and noticed the problem there, but couldn't report it in that thread. Installed latest 2.0 Beta 1.02 and the problem still exists here.

What I'm seeing is that recently used documents for an application don't actually match the recently used documents within the application - so I'm often missing the recent document that I know I worked on.

My documents are local, but they are synced through both OneDrive and SharePoint depending on their location.

The same holds true for the recent list from the right-clicked application icon on the toolbar.

For security, I'm obscuring the full file name and location, but you can see from the partial first characters that they don't match.

Hello.

I am using "Windows Pro style".

Search by entering the application name on the start menu, right-click the app displayed in "Best match" and select "Pin to Start menu". The icon will appear at the far right of the bottom group. Pinned to tab.

However, if I right-click the icon that appears in the Start menu, I can select the group to pin.

I would like it to behave in the same way.
