Windows 11 (version 22621.2428). Bugs noted so far:
1) Cannot rename pinned apps. This worked in Start 11, but not in Start 11 v2. The edits don't register at all.
2) For the new menu styles, the menu outline is inconsistent (most prominent with the upper right corner).
Problem is that the menu shows a clear outline all around, but when it gets to the corner, the outline fades out.
3) I was going to mention the Universal Applications and the "denied" thing, but I guess it's a known issue, so OK.
I have uninstalled Start 11 v2 and reverted back to the original version.
When v2 is more polished and bug-free, I will give it another shot.
Question:
Any word on when v2 will exit the beta phase and be a general release? (Hopefully soon!)
Feedback:
1) For the Windows 7 menu, can you make it so that the menu is offset vertically and horizontally from the taskbar?
This would bring the menu in line with other menus. Consistent UI. I have suggested this in the past (for Start 11).
2) Can you add visible options for Start 11 v2, such as the ability to disable "suggested apps"? Can you make it clear?
I was concerned I wouldn't be able to disable this until I tried right-clicking on the menu and saw the option.
3) Can you please simplify the pinning of apps to the menu? Start 11 (v1) got it right. Start 11 (v2) makes it messy.
For example, when pinning an app, I don't want to have to see stuff like "page 1" or grouping. Should be simpler.
That's it. Overall, a decent first try, but needs more work. Thanks!
