Unfortunately the contents of the alt tab switcher is linked to the taskview virtual desktops.
If a window is not in alt tab then it will appear on all desktops.
Thanks for considering my suggestion and getting back so quickly! I think what you're saying is that you can't manipulate the alt+tab menu for each group individually, due to the logics of the OS?
As i see it, it doesn't have to be the original alt+tab menu that's used, sorry if i expressed myself unclearly. Groupy already has a window switcher for windows in the active group; this one could be upgraded with the features that make alt+tab so useful. Here's a list of the benefits i see in alt+tab, which could be implemented (sorted by personal priority):
- The order you flip through the windows is by how recent they were in focus, not by the placement of the tabs.
- Focus doesn't change before you let go of both keys, so you don't need to view all the windows between the one you came from and your desired destination.
- Thumbnails make it quick and easy to tell the windows apart. Otherwise a clear list interface including app icons, maybe with a dark bg or so, could have similar advantages.
Could (some of) these features be considered as future updates for the group window switcher that's already built in to Groupy?
Thanks again for listening to my feedback.
