Auto-Asteroid, please...!

You know how colony ships can Auto-Colonize, seeking out an available planet all on their own...?

I'd like something similar for asteroid miners.

Sometimes, an asteroid cluster is small or blends in with the background, or something, and finding it again is a giant PITA; it'd be great to be able to tell your asteroid miners to go seek out the nearest asteroids within your ZOC.

(And, while we're on the topic, it'd be great if the miners and colony ships could check whether its about to head toward a target which is already headed toward by another ship. Cuz otherwise, my colony ships are all headed to exactly the same place and bypassing completely available worlds, making the entire process inefficient at best, extremely vulnerable to repeated attack by enemy forces, at worst.)

Absolutely. In my current game trying to figure out where to send an asteroid miner is a chore, not fun.

May I expand on this? How about auto-trade? This would solve a lot of issues, like trying to figure out whether you are duplicating a trade route. (Currently I don't see how to tell the home planet of a trade ship). And if the target faction planet gets involved in a war with me, how about just autoassigning the trade ship to a legal destination?

I think I have made this observation before, but how about every time an announcement is made that the location and ID of the ships, planets or whatever is displayed? Just a thought about removing some tedium. Hunting for stuff in a big game is not exactly exciting.

Well, if we're gonna do that, I'd like it if there was a center-on-notification or center-on-selection button, instead of the game auto-centering when you receive the note or select a ship from the fleet list on the right.

Sometimes, it's like, okay...I want to move my fleet toward this battle, I need my biggest fleet, (ah-ha) there it is on the list, clickeroo...

...and now I can't find the battle anymore because the view is now on the ship and the map is huge, and if I re-click on the battle somehow, I lose the fleet I was trying to send...et cetera, et cetera, drek cetera. Lather, rinse, repeat.

If I could explicitly tell the game where I whether I want the camera to move around instead of it being done for me, I'd be the happiest of campers.
