Multiplicty KM crashes

Hello,

I've been having problems with the software crashing on the primary with an app error (see log detail below.)

Things to know: Windows 10.0.19045 Build 18045 on both systems.

MP version3.57 build 103 (.km on primary, no suffix on secondary.) The software was uninstalled and reinstalled after the problem started.

It is not consistant. I can have a few days of normal operation, then multiple incidents. It does not seem associated with the transfer between systems, as it can fail well after that point. The cursor is always on the secondary machine when the primary fails. Both systems are on the same subnet with static addresses.

The only way I can recover is to stop/start the Multiplicity Service on the primary.

Please forward this to your Support Team for their assistance. Windows has recorded additional diagnostic data (of course!) that I can provide on request. I will keep an eye on this thread for any updates.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

That was the first thing I did. I did not find a fix for my issue there. Please escalate. I can post the memory dump for debugging.

Any updates with this? I am having the same problem as OP with the same error message. Mine happens more frequently though and always the primary. My work around is to constantly restart the multiplicity service.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro version 22H2

I have uninstalled and re-installed Multiplicity which has not resolved the issue. I just renewed my subscription for the year and I would love an update on this.

Thanks.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried Multiplicity V3.60 beta released recently? If not, please try it and report back.

Thanks

Just downloaded and installed. Same issue.

When I copy/paste from primary Multiplicity crashes and I have to restart the service.

So, if you are are going to work this issue now, will you need any of my info? As I indicated above, I am willing to provide relevant info, dumps, traces, and the personal observations of a long time I.T. professional.

Update, later the same day. (7/18/23): Uninstalled version 3.57 from both machines. Rebooted. Ran Purge_MP-New.bat on both, rebooted again. Installed the new release version 3.60 via Object Desktop. The application crashed again with the same error code c0000374 as above.

Does it by chance happen always in the same program or different ones?

I usually have Chrome open on the primary, but I have not seen any overt indication it is involved. That is, interacting with Chrome does not trigger the crash. Mostly it is happening as I am only moving the mouse, usually on the secondary desktop.

Here's the kicker, though. The software went from 100% stable to unstable when I made a substantial hardware upgrade to the primary system. [MSI X58 motherboard with Core i7 965ee to a Z97X board with a 4790K cpu. I was able to replace the hardware drivers without having to reinstall Windows. Everything has been working fine except for, well, you know.] After the upgrade, I was using the Qualcomm Atheros "Killer E2200" network interface, but then I switched to the Intel interface and drivers, but that didn't help the issue.
