V 1.60 Play hangs after about 200 moves

After more than 200 moves the game hangs. The pc works but the move is not completed. This time it was about turn  212. After that the game can be finished with "Exit Game". New start, loading last "Auto Save" and it goes on for about 5-7 moves. I managed to save a game just before the hang up. The save is from turn 216 at turn 217 it was over.

Yeah, it's maddening. Love an update since so many cats are posting their saves with this issue.

For now, go to options and turn on fast moves and fast battles. It might help.

Definetely turn down autosave to every 1 or 2 turns.  Won't stop the hang ups, but at least you won't lose a lot of game time.

I loaded the save.  I got to turn 221 without a problem.  I've had this problem numerous times.  In all but one case, the proble was solved by exiting the game, restarting, then loading the last autosave.  That makes this problem hard to find.  Maybe the problem will happen with your save when someone else tries it.

The one time it was repeatable, I turned in the save.

I just got an update from the team on this.  There is some weird issue causing, late game, the AI not to eject ships from their shipyards.

It's pretty bizarre.  But they think they have a fix and would go out today.

Since saves only take a few seconds, I auto-save every turn.  If I did something important I make a manual save as well.

Circling back on this, has anyone had this issue come up again since the latest Insider Build update?

I still have this issue. Game halts on one of the AI players. I have to exit and resume from last autosave.

Hey, does this happen on the insider build, or are you using the default one?
