Groupy tab bar doesn't appear for most applications

Hi all, there's probably a trivial solution to this, but I can't seem to get groupy working for most apps. I'm trying to get it to work for notepad and OneNote, but there's never a tab bar when I open either of those apps. In settings I have "Force add new tab support for all windows" checked as well as the settings below. Groupy is on. I tried turning Groupy on and off and restarting the Stardock Groupy Service as well. The only workaround I currently have is if I set auto group windows (second picture below), that at least forces the tabbing once I open a second window. Any suggestions?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. What you can do manually group two application. Than choose the groupy tab that don't have groupy tab when open alone. Click 3 dot menu. Select/Tick "Always show tabs for this type of window". From this moment on. Groupy should appear every time that application. As long as that application work with Groupy.

Just wanted to post an update that I was using the workaround yesterday, but then today all of a sudden the normal expected behavior is working again. Either way just wanted to share.
