After last two Windows 11 Cumulative updates bringing my windows to Windows 11 Pro, Version 21H2, Build 22000.1219; I have been having issues with the placing and moving of the pinned icons on the Start11 Task Bar. When moving, it is like the curser line is 'rapidly blinking non-stop' before or after the mouse location. Almost like Windows cannot determine where I am trying to place the icon. Sometimes it can lock the cursor after multiple exhausting attempts. But it can take dozens (note with an S) of attempts. I have tried moving the mouse curser off the bar, above the bar, on the edge of the bar, tried to keep it over the cursor itself as best as I can, and as much as I can think of to no effect to solve this. Changed every setting one after another in the Start11 Configuration trying to determine if one of them is the cultrate. Nothing. Below is a list, though I may have missed some, of what I have tried. Hope this helps.
I have Windows 10 Style, but have tried using Windows 11 Style, Modern Style, and Windows 7 style Start Menus so do not believe those have anything to do with it.
I use a Custom Start Button, tried without the button on. Still happens.
I use Left taskbar, tried center and full center start menu (experimental) still happens.
I use a Small Taskbar setting, tried medium and large, still happens.
Taskbar buttons should be combined (sometimes) is selected, tried never and always... still happens.
Transparency, blur, and colors are off... Turning on does not effect.
Taskbar Textures are off... Turning on does not effect.
NOTE: If I turn off "Let Start11 enhance the Taskbar" Then this solves the issue! However, we want Start11 to 'enhance' the Taskbar! So, we know something is off in this part of the application. With the last 2 cumulative updates, something broke between Microsoft and Stardock's Start11...
I have a multi-monitor setup (3 monitors in total) Unless I totally disrupt my PC setup and cause hell for my Windows... (Not sure why it causes days to reconfigure everything, but it does) I have not tried single monitor setup except 'simulated' by shutting off in the nVidia control panel. From there, it still did the same thing; but I DO know it is not like disconnecting the monitors directly. It may have a different effect. I am fairly confident that this is likely not the cause of the issue, however.
I have double checked my drivers (did this first).
I have double checked DirectX and other similar systems to ensure any missing parts were reinstalled and repaired. (Again, did this first.)
A re-install did nothing to change this issue, even after completely removing left over folders and files.
