Cheers Phoenix, is the ISO for 22H2 the final release, ie the same as the one released later this year as i have no interest in Insider Builds mate. It has to be the official one, or others will say this or that.
I am not looking for any major differences Bud, just want to test my workarounds for needing an MS account to complete installation. This is the Doom and Gloom attempt from MS to feck us over even more as per reported by other members in other topics, i just want to do the same to MS by showing, "Every Unpopular Change MS Makes Can Be Negated Using One Method Or An Another.
Yes i agree with what MS intent is over buying new hardware with it's official release date but i will be using the same Machine that MS says in not supported in the same way i have ran Win 11 since day one . I will be the one to Judge when my Still Powerful machine gets new Hardware, Not MS mate.
I do not know for sure. I have seen Microsoft go both ways in regards to moving a release from "release preview" to "release". Sometimes the release preview is the final release and sometimes they have a host of features they are purposely hiding until release.
If there are a few things missing from the current build it would be things that they do not want publicized such as stricter rules for unsupported machines or stricter rules for attached Microsoft accounts, ect. Other things Microsoft has been known to ship with release builds over preview builds is things like additional themes. I can see Widgets having a bigger impact for example.
In regards to actual builds, the current preview is the 22H2 build that will be released in October. 22H2 entered feature complete in May which is a big deal. This is because the preview build in May required a fresh install over what was previously on the insider channel and replaced it with the actual 22H2 build that will be released. If there are any differences between preview and release it will be stuff added into the current build rather then replacing the current build.
Hope that answers what you were asking.
Yes mate, i did go looking for myself and did see it is available to Insiders right now, you have to give up an E Mail for insiders Program, so that is a big No and would be a Stoning offence to some. I was always aware Insiders get new Builds first, that is not for me. 22H2 has been signed off on, but i will need the Official release to prove my theory, but a little longer wait will just throw up more work arounds and fixes for the need to use a MS account to complete install. I never have been in the camp of one feature update over the other and over another, so any big changes in the OS, i have always done clean installs, i am a power user mate, pushing my machine for 10 hours a day, every day, so that always works best for me and keeps my machine running at it's best. I will grab the ISO of 22H2 sooner or later as my machine is considered too low spec to get it through MS Update, but here i am running Win 11 Enterprise on 5 machines, all thought of as crap by MS, something I disagree with.
Back to the topic in hand.
Do we have any clarity over the contradicting comments about WB being in the Oven, and we will hear something soon, to "It Is Not Imminent". Updates about WB11 are good, but not when they contradict each other.
