I too offer support for Windows11 for both my work Departments and Customers who use our sites. The majority of the Depts i support like it a lot, some do not, but you will always have this. Customer support is more about using the OS in how explorer etc has changed, nothing Major.

We will always see peeps bashing Win11 both on the net and members here re posting articles, funny how we never see the things people love about Win 11 or seldom are those articles re posted here.

Does that mean you have moved to the Dark Side, and like Win 11.  

Love the OS, been using it since Day One, I walk my own path, do my own research and jump in based on my own evaluation.

As soon as we get WB11, i see little need to keep running two of four SSDs using Win 10. Win 10 support for customers, i can do off the top of my head as i used Win 10 daily for up to 10 Hours . I think as more companies like ours move over to Win 11, more and more users who usually wait a few months to make the move for themselves, we will see the Win 11 adoption rate get bigger and bigger.

I can confirm that Windows 11 Enterprise 22H2 can be installed without needing a MS account . I have a local account with full Admin Control. Put it on an old Laptop i5 that was deemed unworthy by MS, using the Rufus fix. Updated to the latest , no problem. You can not use the start menu in tile mode without an account, but as we all (Mostly) either use Start10/ 11 or StartIsBack (What i am using now) full Start menu functions are restored.

I will test it out further when i have time and report back any good or Bad points as and If/when i come upon them.

Guess the scare stories in print were wrong, or maybe only other editions force this on the user, i jumped right to an Enterprise edition as, for me it is more stable than other Windows editions, and at some point i have tried them all except Home Basic or whatever it's called.

I do not wish bad things to go wrong with my set up as i am using an un supported Computer, but as i have been running this OS smoothly and without any issues at all since it was launched, i think i have made a good call installing it.

In the future, no doubt these Hardware requirements will kick into there own, but i do not think it will happen quickly. This will give us all the chance to play around with the OS, get a feel for it, even those on unsupported Hardware, can now give Win 11 a go as i listed a method all can use in the forum(if you can now run Win 10 with no issues, Win 11 should run fine too).

Win 11 gets Bashed a lot here, some do not like it one bit, but that is ok, we are all different, but for those who like myself, Walk There Own Path, and are competent enough to have a go, trust in yourself and make up your own mind about the OS, sure, listen to what you read from both sides of the divide, not just one. If you put in the hours going over this OS, it will at the end of the day, be Your Call.

To me OSs are a Tool in a Toolbox, i happen to like it. Even tested out Win 11 22H2 over the last few days as there was a worry you would need to use a MS account to complete the install, I had no problems going through set up, did i use a MS account, No, no need. For every article we read on the net slamming Win 11 and how it was developed, there are just as many more saying the opposite.

Windows 11 is going to be installed on most of our computers in time, some will wait till last minute, some has already done it, more will follow in between.

Any big change made in Win 11, that peeps do not like, can be changed back to how it should be, By resourceful people, work arounds, even third party apps like Start11.

Regardless of how it was developed or what Hardware MS say you need, or how much more Data MS try to take, or no Start Menu(Win8) all can be negated with multiple ways, this is not going to stop anytime soon.

Give it a try as hands on time with this OS, may change your mind, it may not, but at the end of the day, it should always be YOUR call and not MS.

Has zero to do with SD, Carl. Try to be objective regarding the software.

W11 is still not RTM. With all the changes it has received with features removed and added, one could hardly expect SD's software to be perfect. SD's devs can hardly be expected to anticipate MS.
