Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Friday, July 1st and we will be returning on Monday, July 11th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

start 11 latest 1.2 has caused start button to go to left of screen

can't centre start button

I have used start 11 since it was released. Yesterday, I received the update to start 11 1.2. I didn't change my start menu settings which were to use a win11 style start menu. 

I did set up my taskbar using the new options in start 11.

My taskbar is now left aligned and nothing I do resets it to the standard win 11 view which I had before the update.

I am not running anything other than start11 and fences.

I want my taskbar centred as it was before this latest update. Otherwise I shall ask for a refund on your product.screenshot of taskbar

I think what happened is after installing you enabled the enhanced taskbar feature.  This enables the labels and split out of groups taskbar buttons but as is noted when it asks you, this will force the start button to the left.

The solution is to disable the enhanced taskbar option on the Start11 taskbar page and then you can set things to centre again.

I have a similar problem after recent update. I have it set as Win10 and to the left of my screen, but the start button keeps changing position, sometimes in the centre, cometimes on the left. Very irritating.

It depends on what you are looking for.

Ungrouped items take more room and so the start button is highly likely to be on the far left anyway with more than few apps open.

You can set taskbar buttons to centre whilst still having the start button on the left.
