1.16 is not playing nice with the latest iteration of Windows 11 on my Surface Pro 7, particularly when the keyboard is disconnected. In that case, Start11 doesn't work at all. I realize that it's often the case that apps don't work well with beta software (in this case on both sides), but it's worth a heads up to know there are problems ahead.
Start 11 is now on release 1.17. however there are still issues if you are using the beta / dev version. I believe what is causing you issues is the auto hide taskbar feature when the keyboard is disconnected. Auto hide will not work properly on version 1.17 (on Windows 11 dev / beta preview) and needs to be disabled.
Stardock will not be issuing bug fixes at all for the DEV channel which is fair. If I am understanding correctly, and correct me if I am wrong, the beta channel version will receive some bug fixes but at a lower priority because the main focus will be on the release channel.
