Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me? I've recently noticed that when I attempt to both Hibernate or Shut Down from Start10 my computer goes all kinds of FUBAR.
A shutdown will be attempted but simply won't work with apps closing but the computer never progressing to actually turning off. Nothing works; attempting from the original Start Menu nor "shutdown /i" do nothing. I have to resort to ending important system tasks in Task Manager until I deliberately force a BSOD and wait for my PC to reboot at which point I can turn it off 'safely'.
Hibernating just leaves my computer with a black screen. I need to Ctrl Alt Del and such until I can get the log-in screen to appear at which point I can hibernate via the button there.
I pin the blame on a Windows update but couldn't tell you which. Start10 used to work fine with both of these things and I liked the convenience of the old style button. Anyone else having such problems or have I broken something? Very strange. I do need to do more testing--I will shut down in the normal way tonight--so I'll report back if it's just my PC but I've never had these problems before.
