Moving and aligning rolled up fences

I have all my fences configured to roll up.  I would like to be able to move and align them so they are together in columns and rows across the page.  However, some are able to be moved in this fashion.  Others are not.  And there's just no rhyme or reason to what will happen.  Usually I cannot move and align them as I would prefer.  They frequently get moved on top of each other.  So I have to move them back apart.  Sometimes there is a small gap between fences.  Sometimes there is a huge gap.

I use Windows 10 Home and Fences 3.0.9.11.  All three of the options under Snapping/Spacing in Configuration are selected.  And I have the setting at 0 pixels to keep Fences spaced apart when moving.

Any suggestions or insight?

Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your issue.

  1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe to get to full Windows version numbers.
  2. A Video or a screenshot on how currently your Fences to look like.

Thanks

Okay, yes, I also have this issue when I first use Fences. But now I just move my Fences to Different Fences Desktop page. So I don't have too many Fences on one Desktop. For me, I have Work Desktop with Fences for my Work programs. Games desktop, where I put all my Games/Media Fences and Hardware/Others Desktop for my other things. This simplified my work flow greatly. I just need to switch between these Fences desktop pages.

Thank you,

I tried that for a while.  I had the same problem when I had Fences spread across three different desktops.  Now I am back to one desktop because icons get kicked out of a Fence and just left floating on the desktop.  I have not had that problem since I reduced things down to one desktop.

Well, I never have icons kicked out of Fences unless its MS Office documents Icons, which is known issue, or there is update done on that particular Program which make it install a newer version hence it move to desktop. Fences Desktop pages itself, I don't see it making it move icons out.

But back to your original issue, yes, it is "not easy" to properly align those fences for me too. I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

By the way, it also happened when I had multiple desktops enabled in Fences as well.  They never aligned adjacent to one another as I repeatedly tried to do.  Thanks.
