I would like to see compatibility of Win10's Blur Mode (translucent background) with the Wallpaper Engine. In previous versions, this option was enabled and the Wallpaper Engine's dynamic wallpaper would be overwritten to display the Windows wallpaper directly. This was a strange display and I would like to see an improvement in this area.

Hi I'm drawing tablet user, so most of stuff will be related to fast use it for users that usually work with stylus.

Whishlist:

1) Checkbox option: to preserve position of scrollbars in huge stuff folders even after logout or restart system (useful to fast comeback to previous work spot)

2) Checkbox option: preserve last one "screen" positon after restarting system (same useful to fast comeback to previous work spot at once)

3) Checkbox option: lock UI mode. When all buttons like: close, menu, renaming, resizing all fences will dissaperes and mouse/stylus will not react on them. (Should be usefull for experienced and used to fences a lot, that they almoust not changed anything a long time) It will reduce all this flickering of UI elements under cursor. Found it as implemented in 3.13 in right click menu

related with stylus/tablet users

Because I'm tablet/stylus (wacom) user, I not use mouse almoust 96% of time. That's why a lot of existed ways to change screen-display in fances is a bit long a slowing down (in tems of time and spend energy on action). So next suggestions is related to reduce this problem

4) New feature - "sceen menager/navigator". I have suddenly faced with it, searching tools like fence, and it was in software called "Dexpot" (try it there and you will immideatedly understood how fast this concept in work). So idea is next, that you can call this option and on the screen will appeares few buttons (or buttons of screens), and you will be able to orient them horizontally or vertically as UI element. And after pressing on each one it will immideately show you chosen screen. Beliave me it's much more faster then what you have now, especially if you have more then 2 scrolling screens. You will be able much more faster navigate between them in one click. Also it should contain next things:

a) highlight active screen button (to easy understand where you are)

be able to drop Fences directly on chosen icon-button and immideately teleportated to those screen with holding fance (easy replace concepte)

5) Be able to assign users manual own hotkeys. That should be 'global'. Because currently you need always 'tap' on free space of descktop, just to be able activate pre-appointed ALT+arrows hotkeys. And for me that meanst that I should at fitst precisely tap somewhere on descktop (search that spot place and waist time on this action), then "twist" stylus between fingers to change it position, then be able to press hotkeys, then do all back... and it's not so handy at all. Because hotkeys is preconfigured - so I should use both hands to activate it. So if I be able to assign my own one or even few keys, but placed at one side of keyboard, I no need to put down stylus. And if this hotkey will activate swithcing fence-screens at once, withou no need to waiste time to search free space and precisely tap to it

6) Same suggestion to solve described problem above - to be able choose manually hotkeys, that when you will holding it and at once dragg by stylus, it will swithc the screens. For example, I'm holding SHIFT botton and at same time using stylus doing swap move to any side. Additional options here would be nice: on/off - to take into accoun all existed fances and work like through it. In this case no need to waist time to easrch free space spots (because what if it will be really small?)

I know about ability to holding edges of the sceens... but in my cases I have use 2 diplays in a row.. and each this move from one side to another need really a lot energy just precisely aming into edge, and move hande move hand back and forth from one side to another of displays (and this even my active tablet space is really small, even so it's quite annoing and time-consuming) Maybe only with 1 display it should work well, but not when more then one.

related to artist and users with a lot image collactions

For all whom worked with images (or image collactions) before, is important to see image content at once, without no need open file. So next few  suggestons is about it.

7) Will be cool if we can do preview size of images even bigger a little bit that most big size now. Even just a little bigger would be cool.

8) Optimization and hashing (somehow and somewhere store preview of all image thumbnails). It will speed up uploading then when you scrolling huge image collections folders. Because now it allways have 1 second delay, before all of them will loading. And it's breacking smooth searching. Always need to stop and wait each time.

Summarize. So I found software really cool, exectly what I'm searching. Really thanks for this software But mostly issues I have is with navigating between screens, because I'm most time use stylus. And each swipe of screens need to loose a lot time.

10) Be able same change icons view modes for tunel-folder as it was for simple Fence is. Same with changing size of icons manually inside each Fence (not only in folder tunnels)

11) Be able to create rules that will be related on chosen software that sinteze files. So for example we can choose one (or few programs), that generate files and all that they will produce  will collect in specific Fence (in my example all files that will creates by drawing sotware) So they will not mess up with any other images that will be drpoed on desktop from internet. Will be usefull 

12) Be able easy switch 'screens' somehow by simply redraging their position. Because currently wyou will stuck by doing this moving all Fences back and forwards

13) I'm not 100% sure, but I feel that it should be good idea. That when you switch 'screens', all Fences that was pin for all screen won't move at all, and only those elements that should be changed is animated. I feel that it should give (feeling of ) more clear about stable elements, and should be more useful. (At least it migh be additional check box option in settings)

Fix the sort alphabetically option.

When a word ends and nothing comes after it, it should before the same word with a space and number after it.

 

Example: Dishonored, Dishonored 2

Currently sorting alphabetically places Dishonored 2 first, Dishonored second

Just a thought....what comes first..."Dishonored.lnk" or "Dishonored 2.lnk" when it comes to names? ...

The ".XXX" extensions should not be part of the sorting by name unless two entries with the same prefix exist, then and only then, should the extension be used as a sort key.
ie.

Name1.abc

Name1.def

comes before

Name1.ghi

That is the only time that the extension should be part of the sort algorithm.

I am not aware of you have the choose of single click desktop icons, when you have chosen double click in file explorer.

Add an option to stop rolled up fences unrolling when you mouseover the title unless you click on the title.

14) Dopr files into unfolding Fence.
Be able to drop stuff inside tunel-folder when it in unfolding mode. Because currently it react on hovering mouse only if you at hat of Fence(it begun unfolding). But when you move dropping file to the body of fence it immediately closing.. so you have no chance to drop it in this type of Fence at all  (or maybe it bug? because I can't do this action)
[UPD: probably it was some bug.. because now it start work as it should..]

15) Pin Fences only on chosen monitors (not at all)
I like that it gives oportunities to do "show this pin on all screens".. for some Fences should be really usefull to show only on few of them, bu on others no. So for example if you have 5-6 screens, you can show one Fence on 4rth of them only. And no need to duplicate all the time on new screen. (it will increase user speed experience when create). For example it might be an options inside Fence menu, where you can choose option "show on other screens", and in dropeed list put marks on which ones. Simple and fast. And at once it increase variability

16) Auto replace/update moved folders path in fences tunels
When you moved folder to another location - automatically rebind (replace) path in same fence tunel-folder. So you no need woeied about it at all, or searching then where exectly you have located it, or doing something at all (because it will be auto updated)

17) Upgrate fences (un)folding system
It's great when fences unfolding when you hover over mouse instantly. But I found one "thin" place. Sometimes (~30-40% of time) you can suddenly hover over this type of fences when meanwhile concentrated and working (your focus) in some window(explorrer or etc.). Or when you just suddenly move mouse from one point to anothe through the desktop. So all this time this folding fences unnecessery pop-up. So my idea is next:

a) to give users slider in options where he be able to control delay, when fence will unfolding. And it should be from 0 to 1 second renge. This need in cases when all other automatically (under the hood trick) will not help for users. And he might tweak this parameter for his own habits.

b ) System of autocorrection and detecting when exectly mouse is hovering for unfold and when it's symple misunderstanding and accidental movement. So for example you can exclude some mouse movements when mouse don't stops at all (and have some long trajectory), other way, is to searching for current windows focus and trying to guess (depending on windows size, unfolding size of Fence[maybe it will cross covering each self.. so no sence to open it, and it more chance of accidental movements] + timing of mouse hovering Fence. Or when you close window and cursor suddenly aapears over some Fence - is it have sence to open/unfolding it at once??.. maybe some tons of other parameters that can make sence to get proper identity of what exectly user whant to do) and so on... Here is need tothingk and tweak it in way, when it will give nice result.

Better to include both methods at once, to get best result. Because I found myself sometimes hovering over some fences and they suddenly popping out when it's no need any sence for me

18) Separator element for Fence.
Include elements called as separator/delimiter. That you be able to put manually anywhere to separate a litle bit some icons by groups. It helps visually organize order and increase readebility. (witout no need to separete one metter on additional Fences) But.. most powerful result it should give only inside Fences tunel-folders (and here is I really don't know how to cross/include this feature with this kind of folders). Here is hat I've meant

19) Hide shortcut arrows on items inside tunel-folders.
Currently it's nice work in most places, exept tunel-folders. Would be cool if it will be an option that can hide this arrows inside this tunel-folders too. I can explain when it's might be important. For example.. I do system that will at once (doubling) do a copy of all Fences (by recreating all using tunel-folders) screens inside Explorer. So it'm more stable should be.. even on case if Fences will behave really strange and fall/mess up all after update. And another plus I like, that tunel-folders have more ability to choose view-mode, then simple Fence (why you did it like that for me mistery.. because it's quite strange). So .. I have tunel-folders of link-icons.. and they all have this arrows, that I can't hide

20) Additional manual sorting-mode for any Fences.
I don't like the idea that in tunel folders you cant place items (icons/folders/files) in order as you wish (like in simple Fence). So you always should choose some sorting/placing as in some order. And when you need just replace something.. you should manipulate with names of files (and that sucks) Really why not? Why do not add mode where user can replace stuff inside fences as he want. Anywhay it's no metter for folder structure(or something like that), so it have sence, because increases usability for users, when they need reorder small ammount of Fence content in specific way (currently it's no alternatives)

It would be great , if the restore function of the desktop , would actually work. 

Every time I update my graphics card driver, I have to manually move all my fences from my main screen, back to my 2nd screen, because the restore function just doesn't work properly. 

That's the part that will be fundamentally impossible for a program that works where Fences works...

Actually...I'd like it too....just as the locking 'on top' function in Windowblinds vastly enhances the GUI interaction to the point that functionality alone makes the proggy worthwhile...irrelevant of any 'bling'....

Impossible. This has been asked and answered many times already. It's kind of asking for having the desktop on top of all windows.

This option would make fences like multiple start10's. File explorer should already have folder by folder single click options. Stardock could have it for fences, regardless of Microsoft limitations. After all, Microsoft’s limitations are why we buy Stardock software in the first place.

Nope....the fence would have to be empty to be on top.  The icons contained are always going to be at desktop level....below any windows....
