"Details" View For Desktop Fences

Hello Ya'll!

Would it possible to have the "details" view for regular desktop fences?

I see that it is available for folder portals, but I don't see it as an option for regular desktop fences.

I understand that I could make a folder portal for the desktop folder, but then I lose the auto sorting options that regular fences have.

I 100% support this feature request. I regularly use a portal view for easy access to shared files for whatever project(s) I'm working on and between detail view and navigation Fences is a really cool solution. I also use my desktop as a bit of a halfway house on those occasions it's not appropriate to use the project folders and not having the detailed view and navigation here is a real bummer that screws with an otherwise effective workflow.

I've found I can workaround this to some extent by rolling up the desktop fence and adding an additional desktop portal but this feels kludgey and I'm forever moving the mouse over the rolled up desktop fence making it pop up on the screen which is somewhat distracting.

Adding detail view and navigation to the desktop fence would be really useful.

Hi there,

this seems to have been forwarded 2 years ago. Let me ask for this again in 2020. It would be great simply for the reason to the complete name of a folder when it exceeds a certain name length. Especially on a huge 4K monitor to see folder or file names as 'Something some...' is somewhat underwhelming considering all the space I got on display.
