Planet Upgraded...Now What?

Now that I have upgraded to Crusade, I no longer see the "Projects" you used to be able to build to keep a planet busy and prevent the "Planet Idle" message from popping up and blocking the next turn. What do I do once a planet has been fully built out, or at least built out until I do more research?

You should see "Aid ..." options at the bottom of the list to choose from. You get some additional options as technology improves.

There are no endlessly ongoing projects anymore, only short time projects like "Aid Research" and "Aid Economy". If you want to be spared "planet idle" messages you have to specify those projects, say, 20 times in a row.

One other thing...I don't see how commanders can be assigned to anything. How does that work?

When you have a ship or fleet selected, I believe there is a button in the controls panel for that ship/fleet (bottom left corner of screen) that says "assign commander". I think. Don't quote me on that, I have never actually used a commander.

As long as it is a colony that you are interested in improving, I like being notified vs never being notified.

I can understand that there are times when you might have no interest in ever viewing a colony again. In such cases there should be a way to turn off notification as you can with the shipyards.

Hi,

Once you've got the right techs you can assign a planet either to recruit a spy or a citizen. These are useful once complete and take ages so they effectively turn the planet off for a good long time.
