Found some of the new abilities that don't work with trained units. I did some testing, and have laid out the results below, broken down per trait not working. I hope I have given enough detail for checking it out. If not, I also have save games with the custom unit that I can send in. The save games are played in a quick style which was centered specifically on testing and the units are named so that they stand out.
Please note this was tested for trained units only and not for custom sovereigns.

Trident Strike:
Spikes of Krax (standard starting unit): unit description when not in battle shows that they have the skill. While in battle it never shows as a usuable skill. Looked in the skill list button, and it's not that it just isn't in the hotbar. It just isn't there at all.
Designed a custom unit with the Trident Strike trait as well with the same results.
Both units were armed with spears (guessing that was the best with a name like Trident strike), and chance this needs to be a different or specific weapon to show up or work. I expect not, it should at least show up and be grayed out with something saying incorrect weapon.
I did let stamina build up to 9 (which is over the required 7 for the ability per the changelog), just in case it wasn't going to show up until that requirement was satisfied as well.

Furnaceborn:
No standard units with trait.
Designed a custom unit with the furnaceborn trait. Armed with club. No way to select skill during tactical. Doesn't show up in hotbar or in skill list. Can see in battle by selecting unit that the unit does indeed have the trait. Let stamina build up to 7 in this case (even though changelog shows no stamina requirement), never see ability show up.

Lament:
No standard units with trait.
Designed a custom unit with the lament trait. Armed with club. No way to select skill during tactical. Doesn't show up in hotbar or in skill list. Can see in battle by selecting unit that the unit does indeed have the trait. Let stamina build up to 7 in this case (guessing that may be the requirement even though what it really says in changelog is that it does 5 stamina damage with no mention of a stamina requirement), never see ability show up.

Can see in battle by selecting unit that the unit does indeed have the trait. Let stamina build up to 9 in this case (even though changelog shows no stamina requirement), never see ability show up. Tried attacking to see if this was a passive ability, no affect on enemy unit that was hit (went into the enemy units details to check on this)

Pommel:

Can see in battle by selecting unit that the unit does indeed have the trait. Let stamina build up to 10 in this case (even though changelog shows no stamina requirement), never see ability show up.
