the point raised by the person who was abused was a valid point.

i renewed my subscription earlier this year also and i was very annoyed that stardock

had not upgraded window blinds or icon packager before windows 10 was released.

stardock had ample time to do this and i also am left feeling aggrieved that they did not.

unless they upgrade the programs which i paid for, which included window blinds and icon

packager, i too will not be renewing again, nor renewing to wincustomize in about 2 months time.

if this incited abusive remarks i thank you jafo in advance for any disciplinary measures you take

Nerius, on hindsight having checked a few things, it would appear that this has not been the first time that stardock has been tardy with updates.

It does however seem to match with the method that they don't start on a project until it's finalised and I can understand that with Win10 being a glacial continuous upgrade that this might now pose new issues.

However it makes me wonder why Microsoft wont work with stardock as partners, the company hasn't got any smaller or less respected than in the alienware days

Not working with stardock and actually helping to improve their UI seems very Apple to me..  Wait, forget that, I forgot how much companies would like to be Apple these days...

   Microsoft does not support skinning there OS.  If they did then they would put support tools directly into the OS to do such a  thing.  They could care less about what Stardock does or even wish to support them when it comes to Windowsblinds and there OD suite.  TBH they are close to Apple's mentality in there closed garden approach to Windows 10.  They want a stable OS that works across multiple and varied hardware platforms. 

   Trust me I am no fan of Stardock and there slow development of products in the OD suite.  I have a history of being very blunt on various products they developed in the past.  That being said... since I have that history and knowing that Windows 10 is not even close to being truly done.  I will defend them this time.  I do not even think that  today they could even hazard a guess.

   A simple analogy would be trying to paint a wall that isn't finished yet.  Has not had the drywall sanded smooth,  joints taped, and not even sure if the owner will decide to stucco it and change the wall in the next couple weeks. 

get windows 10 to work properly,beat it with a sledgehammer.caution this will ruin your computer but it might make you feel better

i wont say its horrible,windows 10 has some good improvements,but it also has flaws

why can`t there simply be a beta version  that does use some lua bytecode to check what features work and what not.

Windows 10 will change a bit yes, but thinking a software has to be this static to one build release date of one  major  OS version is a bit yeah better not say it. Just imagine what happens if a manufactor change something slightly in  the gui  once microsoft makes some terrible errors. That might happen on every os.

However thats my opinion as an stupid end user who will wait some years before using windows 10.

And im  sure windowblinds 10 will be great once its out. Keep up your great work!

If I buy Object Dock now, do I get the upgrade when its released?

How does one get "insider preview build 10525" that's mentioned somewhere in this WindowBlinds thread" (and, for that matter, how does one get on the list for any insider previews)? 

I'm keen to help Stardock test WindowBlinds for Windows 10 so as the help get it released earlier rather than later. It's the only non-Microsoft product in my "must have" list that is holding me back from upgrading to Windows 10.

Oh, I goofed yet again. Didn't mean the Windows 10 Insider Program (which I joined when it was launched many moons ago).

I thought that the post (by anarkys on 19 August) was referring to some sort of Stardock insider program (beta testers program). Is there such an animal? I'm keen to assist.

I am an Object Desktop subscriber, but have never seen anything (in my profile or in any emails received over the years) about beta versions being offered. How does it work or how is it supposed to?

If there are any Beta's available this is how you will see them.

Open Object Desktop Manager.

Click the gear in the upper right corner.

Click Show beta Downloads. 

I know nothing about programming; therefore, I R Wait with much patience till that time comes.
