Theme Manager and MyColors

Theme Manager and MyColors

Won't work on XP or Vista

Hey guys. I can't get Theme Manager to load anything other than Aero Midnight on XP or Vista.

I also can't get MyColors to install on either.

What's up?

I realize that XP is no longer supported, but these programs should work on XP. I hate that I bought a bunch of MyColors themes and can't use them.

When I try to install MyColors, it acts like it's installing, until I see the "downloading MyColors" screen, then the window closes, no error, nothing.

Same on Vista.

I have tried the standalone MyColors and installing a MyColors theme. No go.

OK, dunno if you did something, Neil, but I was finally able to install MyColors both on XP and Vista successfully. But MC wouldn't install all my skins. Kept saying download failed. The only one that installed was the original one I installed with. MC asks if I wanted to queue the others, I chose yes, but they all failed.

However, I was able to manually install each one with the downloaded installers I have archived, (each one effectively reinstalling MyColors Theme Manager)  and use the serials from my downloads page to activate.

All is well.

All is not well for those of us who do not have archives. We paid for these items so not getting access is unacceptable.

So if MyColors is no longer supported, why are these themes still available to buy:

All of those themes require Object Desktop which is fully supported.  They all work.  Dragon is my favorite.

I have previously purchased some of these, when they still were MyColors. So I have to re-purchase them ?? O_o

Log into your "My Products" at Stardock and see if you already have some of them listed in the standard format.

You're looking for a description that starts with "Premium Theme" instead of "My Colors".  Scroll through the whole page, they may be scattered around a little bit.
