Ima build some more and see if I can make a good Iridium design with my free time, I like the iridium...and building now. (and $1,000)

Here are some I put together, some for the contest and some not.

First up is an Iridian Paladin. 

Next is an explorer, but it could be used for any combat role.

Then there's a gunboat.

Odin Class Carrier. Will enter into competition along with previous 2 ships.

My latest contest submission #4.

Pure Terran designed small scale Fighter/Bomber. The "Crusader". Nothing but Terran ship parts used.

Rand super job.  GC3 designer allows for much better fighters over what GC2 did.

Grathocke I love the explorer and gunboat

adamb1011 I dislike most Altarian ships, BUT I love yours

And Ed, thanks for the kind words. I find altarian ships really hard to design - the lack of flat/square edges makes them difficult to put together without noticeable blemishes etc. But I also love the end result, so it's often worth the extra effort.

@stardock: it would be great to get some more altarian parts that have a couple of flat edges and surfaces as well as mostly rounded ones, to help them fit together so to speak. These edges would not be exposed, but serve as building blocks so designers can be more flexible. There's a couple already, but the edges and surfaces don't match up well and leave sharp edges exposed, and I think the style you are trying to achieve with altarian ships is a more rounded and flowing one.

I have the same problem with them. It is really hard to make a beautiful ship. However, yours is outstanding! It is so much more than I thought possible.
