The idea with the Anthys map was that the Wild Land bosses were placed in different parts of the world. Adding Wildlands is something we can do very easily. I'll ask Paul what he thinks about switching those areas to Wildlands areas instead.
Well, it's been a year or two, and despite virtually all the feedback on this thread pleading for wildlands being present on the Anthys map, Anthys remains the most boring play experience possible in Elemental.
I do not generally like random maps, as there is no logic or beauty in their layouts. I like long games on big maps so my civilization has time to develop. The end result is that I am left with VERY little variety to play with. The game I would most like to play would be on the very largest map of them all, but that one is virtually empty.
I would fix this Anthys map myself, but if I try to open it in the Cartographer, it crashes the software. I would try to add the wildlands by hand (text editing the XML), but of course I don't have any idea which coordinates I should use.
<WildlandsPlacementTile>62,45,The_Shroud,90</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>58,17,Asag,90</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>83,48,Scrapyard,180</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>88,20,Ruins_of_the_Imperium,90</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>17,47,Lombard_Desert,180</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>56,83,Northern_Waste,0</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>88,74,Burning_Lands,0</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>30,17,Bhinadmi_Fissure,180</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>41,47,Pits_of_Namtur,90</WildlandsPlacementTile>
<WildlandsPlacementTile>28,73,Curgens_Tomb,0</WildlandsPlacementTile>
Copy/paste would work fine, if I knew what coordinate numbers to use.
