Modding the game vs play the game

So, maybe I've something wrong, but happens sometimes that I enjoy Modding the game (I've a real mod in development)  than play the game..... 

Please, tell me that I'm not alone....

I'd estimate that I play 1 hour for every 10 I spend modding.

Although I will admit, thanks to myself and other modders there's a wealth of new content to experience when I play the game. And that's what I want - to drown in monster types and a vast variety of magical items and all that stuff that primarily relates to the RPG part of the game.

Play/Test/Mod/Document  are the four ways I can be involved with Fallen Enchantress.

Right now, the balance for me is Test > Document > Play > Mod.

hehe i had this problem with morrowind, and skyrim ....

lol i modded those 2 games like 100 hrs to like... probably  2 hrs spent playing lol

, sadly i got sick of skyrim way too fast (lvl 13 was the highest i ever was lol)  but i made a buncha mods for it looool

like a whole month all i did was mod, and play it just to load it to see if it worked lol

and i was making a huge city in morrowind i never finished....easily like 200 hrs probably... was like a hobby art project... i didnt even play the game anymore at that point lol...

Everytime I sit down to play I think to myself, "You know what this game really needs". Then I go work on a mod to add that idea into the game. It usually works out that I am working on mods about 5 times as much as I actually play.

yeah, right now im working on adding different specializations for unit creations... variants of armor and weapons that do different things... cause seriously... theres a pathetic amount of items for unit creations... like wooow... they suck haha
