Icons defaulting to non-primary monitor

I have a dual monitor setup with my right monitor being the primary monitor. Whenever I save something to the desktop, fences wants to move it to my other left (non-primary) monitor which is really annoying because I usually have a fullscreen application running in my second monitor. Is there any way to make fences less stupid?

I have the exact same configuration as you and noticed this as well. When I download items to the desktop, they appear on the secondary monitor.

Are you sorting your icons? I sort by Name on non Fenced areas. As soon as I sort, it moves all of the icons to the secondary monitor on the left. I am not allowed to sort items on my primary monitor unless I have it in a fence.

I am not sorting. I found a "solution". Create a new fence and have all new icons default to that fence. It's not perfect but its better than losing everything  and having to dig for it.

I also have 2 monitors, but my secondary monitor is on the right. I thought that Windows does this, and not Fences?
Does Fences do this for you even if there is plenty of space left on the main monitor? My main monitor is full of icons, so I kind of thought this may be happening, because it main monitor is full, thus new icons go to the 2nd monitor. But now, not so sure this is how it should be...
