So far Im loving 0.95 and it appears that the game is shaping up rather nicely, but I do have some concerns.
1st and foremost the game is still having an issue that was never fixed in the original war of magic and that's having the turn button stick to where you cant complete your turn.
2nd Im concerned that with each additional patch we continue to lose magical abilities. For example in War of Magic we had the ability to summon a volcano and another spell to flood an area. With fallen enchantress these 2 spells were taken away. Now with the subsequent Beta's we have had Create Mountain and Destroy Land taken away. Which is rather disappointing. Many people play games like this because they love the fantasy turn based strategy games, and a central theme to the great games was magic, In fact I would argue that Magic was the most important element of these games. An example would be Masters of Magic they got the Magic element right and it has easily set itself apart as the best game of this genre even though it had some issues with other parts.
So my suggestion would be too make the next Beta update the Magic update, where you would spend as much effort into making a robust magic system as you have done with this patch.
What I would like to see:
1. Each school of magic getting at least 4 global enchantments.
2. Put back all of the world altering spells such as the volcano, flood, create mountains etc...
3. Add major strategic spells that take more than one turn to cast, and give players the ability to detect these spells being cast so that they can counter them with a Disjunction, Spell Reflect etc...
4. Lastly I would love to see a hardcore mode to where heroes and the sovereign can die in combat and re enable the feature to where sovereigns could get married and have kids.
