The AI seems to be easier in 0.91 than in 0.86, because it is very easy to rush warfare and to attack with a single powerful (level 10+ and well equipped) sovereign. The enemies have only basic equipment and are at least one tier behind me (medium map, hard difficulty).
The AI should reduce the city und unit spam and develop a few powerful cities and units, because the low quality units are easy to defeat with a single sovereign.
As posted in this thread https://forums.elementalgame.com/422542 some professions and talents are too weak or too powerful and that results in weak opponents or overpowered characters.
The civic and magic tree are less useful than the warfare tree, because the improvements in the warfare tree are much stronger. For example the rings with + 1 fire or cold attack are nice but not powerful compared to the ability to use a bow. The damage of the rings should be increased to + 2 and the amulets should have a damage of + 5 or a regeneration of 2 hp per turn. Following the design goal "Go big or go home".
An exception of this goal are the warlock and evoker traits, because they are too powerful. The base damage and not the shard damage of spells should be increased by 50 % and the traits should increase the damage only by 25 %. On the other hand spells like heal or natures cloak need a trait (cleric I, II and III) to boost their effect by 25 % per tier, but natures cloak should give a bonus to the spell resistance against damage spells and the spell resistance should reduce damage spells by half.
