Unable to select Vasari as a playing race

Rebellion beta, just updated, singleplayer

 

so like, I click the arrow thingy to go to the vasari selection screen and it just takes me to advent or tec....

Also noticed that in player setup I have two TEC avatars instead of one tec and one vasari.

Is there something I need to unlock?  or is this a bug?

 

The previous singleplayer games I had with random AI had absolutely no vasari as well

The Vasari are not playable yet in the Rebellion Beta. We have to wait until beta 3.

This is not a bug, or an unlock. It's beta, and they're currently have us test Advent. Vagari will be put in at a later date, probably in a different beta build

Viagra or Vasari? 

Either will make the players so happy they won't need more than 2 superweapons.

You need to discover the Vasari home planet before they unlock.

Yeah, you need to Find their Homeworld after precisely 47 days of game time to unlock the full Vasari race.

The truth is that the Vasari have been running from Mecha-Lenin and his space ponies the whole time and he chased them off. :|

As mentioned, Vasari are not playable in this phase of the Beta thus, neither you or the AI could choose them. The player setup thing is just placeholder until Vasari are added in and should work like previous Sins.
