DX2 Install - I need help

I have posted a message in the WC-General forum a few days ago, but didn't get a response. So, I'm trying again here, because I'm at wit's end. I could not update my DX to the newest version, so I chose to uninstall, then reinstall DX. I keep getting this message, "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock\trayserver.exe 0 (32: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)
Result: Installation failed"

I opened up the task manager, and there is a process running called trayserver.exe. But, I'm afraid to end that process, as I don't know what chaos will result from that. But, until I do something, I cannot install DX, and I want it. Any advice? TIA

I think you can safely kill trayserver.exe, as long as you're using the Windows taskbar/systray. trayserver.exe is for the DX/Objectbar systray function if I recall correctly. Anyway, the worst that can happen is a possible reboot may be needed to reload it.

That was it. I did have objectbar running, so I shut it down before I ended trayserver.exe just because you mentioned it. DX is now working just like it's supposed to. I'm happy.
