Getting rid of Stardock files

It's looking pretty impossible...

I recently downloaded the free trial of Stardock's Deskscapes. I also recently found out that it has been the cause of many of the problems I've been having such as freezing, crashing, etc. So I uninstall Deskscapes via the convenient little "uninstall" tool provided by Stardock on my start menu. However, I find that it still exists in my list of programs; so I go to my default "uninstall program" and find Stardock there. I click "uninstall," but apparently it can't because it still has an open file running. Sure enough, when I right click on my background, there's "Deskscapes" waiting for me in the menu. I even changed my background manually and it still doesn't seem to understand that I want to uninstall it. I went into my program files and tried deleting them but even that didn't work either because "there is an open file in use".

Please, for the love of god, can someone tell me how to completely remove all of Stardock's files from my computer so I can live misery-free?

What exactly does this tool do, and will it delete all of the files associated with it, even if they are open and running?

Re install and remove it with free Revo Uninstaller. Set the strength to "Medium" and delete the links in bold face.

Ditto on that Doc.  I use Revo Uninstaller religiously, it does an awsome job of zapping all those "hidden" files in the registry. Never had a problem using it.        -- Ace --

or you could just use the odnt zapper which stardock provides. it works rather well.
