ObjectDock and Dell Dock

I have a Dell Dock and I love it. I bought ObjectDock v2 lastnight for my new HP laptop hoping for the same

features. including how you can add folders to the dock and label them, adding whatever files you want to these folders.

After getting irritated at not finding the same features on Object Dock I am left wondering if I am missing something?

Any advice would be helpful.

Not having a Dell to see it's dock does make it somewhat hard to see the differences.  I do believe though that there are difference between the two since one was made for a specific platform, the Dell Dock on one made for computers in general running Windows OS.

Someone from Stardock will be along to explain this much better.

The Dell Dock looks exactly the same as ObjectDock, I think the Aero skin is the closest in looks. I just am going crazy because I can't seem to add folders to the ObjectDock, which is how I have my DellDock, in turn making my desktop completely clear because I have all my shortcuts on the Dock in specific folders. Which all I want. I am not keen on the tabbed skin either...

Just drag the given folder into the dock from the desktop. Works for me.

I understand that much. :) but how do I create new ones? do I have to do it on the desktop then drag it?

Perhaps I am just over thinking this a bit too much? :)

To clarify I want to be able to drag and drop icons into folders on the Dock. Which I can't seem to do at this point. It just seems to add another icon for every item I put on there.

Right click on the dock then Settings-Add-Shortcut-Blank shortcut. A window will open and you can add from there. Hope that helps you.

Thank you, that isn't quite it. Here is my example. - On my Dell Dock I have a Photography folder and in it is all my editing applications plus my photos. This is the same feature I was hoping I could utilize with Object Dock. Also we have all of our games Under one icon, etc...

Yeah that is what I think I just realized. I was thinking those were something else. :) Don't know if it will solve the short cuts on the desktop though?
