If you have enough room on the partitions, no. All you have to do is move the files from the partion you want to delete and then extend the main partition to the full size of your drive.

Follow amitsaran's advice [other than 'loose'....it's 'lose'].

Resizing on the fly can potentially cause data loss...eg if there's a power outage during the partitioning process.

The care you take to protect your data [at any time] is directly proportional to its value....to you...

Backup doesn't mean 'just' imaging a drive, it means having a second, separate copy of files...eg photos, etc which may be irreplacable.

Re-installing an OS and proggies is just a pain.....but losing 'work' can be a disaster.

'handy recovery' is frankly a ridiculously precarious way to 'protect' your data....or expect it to be protected.

Drives can die....TOTALLY.

Then your work is lost....TOTALLY....
