Sins: Dominion

Did anybody catch the official trailer for EvE Online's Dominions?  You can see it here.

 

Two things struck me about this movie:

 

1) CCP sure knows how to make a good trailer!  I wish Hollywood would take a crack at an EvE movie.  But then again, I just know that it would be 90 minutes of watching Shia Labeouf stumble around on a planet that looks suspiciously like southern California (ever notice how every modern sc-fi film is strangley ground-based?) , followed by a 30 minute meaningless fleet battle at the end of the film that would be the only passing reference to EvE.  :S

and

2)  That vid reminds me more of Sins than Eve!  Now, to be fair, I only dabble in EvE and don't even belong to a corp.  But still, this trailer reminds me of all the fleet action in Sins as much as it does EvE.  In fact, after watching it, my first thought was "I have to get back to Sins" and not "I have to resub to EvE".  Guess that says a lot.

Here's hoping that the annoucement trailer for Sins 2 will look like this vid!  :pout:   It simply deserves it.

At least they give you the expansions for free (Eve Online).

Eve seems so SLOW tho. iv done the trial a few times and I could never make myself go more than 5 days or so.
