I wasnt trying to be an ass. But when someone makes a statement and instead of backing it up they start making other claims that doesnt actually help their side. It gets tiring to repeat myself over and over again. As for it being Navy, Ill say it one more time. I think its more then plausible for it to either be Navy or Network. I lean towards Navy because the game heavily uses Naval terms. Im not saying Im 100% right here, Im arguing my point with evidence from Lore and ingame descriptions. So far what has been used "as reasoning" for Network is nothing more then an assumption based on nothing thats supported by gameplay or lore. The arguement that lack of evidence doesnt prove a lack of existance isnt good enough here. There isnt oodles of Lore here but theirs enough to back your arguement up more then using the existance of other military branches that may or may not exist.

I first agree that all the ship have a name and Probably all have TDN but only the capital Ships have names.  The thought of other branch well I believe both the Varsari and T.E.C. have them who do you think enforce the Colonial Goverments when they land  of ether of those two Empires. The Advent have there other ways.  The next reason I think both of those Goverment have to deffend ground Goverment when thse up-risings happen in the game. You can't do that from space unless it's after.  With the lore the way it is it would require other military branchs. 

before the flight, they had at least one Variment of shock troops on each Kortul, either for boarding or planetary attack.  I'm thinking boarding, but that's just opinion.

Strange that only the Trader Emergency Coalition gives prefixes to their capital ships while the Vasari and Advent don't.

i prefer to think that TEC has the only normal (by our standards) military structure. for the vasari, well, allegiance said it best. teh advent are... strange, to say the least

With the Varsari there are 2 mentions of ground troops 1st is the Full Terran Lock-down were it talks about importing more ground troops and then one of the media center up-grades talks about the military watching to enforce no talking against the current goverment. So yes the Varsari have ground troops

Variment is just a way of saying theres different versions of something. Like how you can get different options in your car?

Variment of ShockTroops that they would have different groupings of shocktroops, like more machine gunners, or more medics etc etc, not that the Vasari would use machine guns or anything just an example.
