If a unit has a rear turret which is its 'main' gun (i.e. the engine says 'this does more DPS'), the unit will not turn to bring this cannon to bear. It will turn broadside to whatever it's attacking, even if it has no LEFT or RIGHT weapons, and sit there indefinitely.
hmm, well, likely because the ship AI or the engine itself isn't rigged for ships to have the rear weapons have the most weapons.
I do like the idea of a unit with a high-damage rear-facing weapon; certainly something to deter enemy pursuit.
