Quoting Zakariel, reply 11considering the cultural phenomenon that DOTA has become in Singapore, I am quite surprsed to have seen ZERO SG games since I first started playing online. Quite disappointed really. Where are all the singaporeans?? are they still playing DOTA so religeously they refuse to try something new??
Guys, please - tell your friends about this game. It has aweseom potential.
Those Under 17 kids got no money to buy DEMIGOD.
Its not just buying the game, but buying a COMPUTER powerful enough to run it. THAT my friend is the biggest obstacle. DOTA can run on a 4 year old dell
business PC with an ON BOARD GPU (no video card inserted). No joke, I used to play dota in the office on such a machine back in the day and it ran perfectly smoothly.
So I think hardware will get in the way for the most part, but I also think word of mouth is a big issue. Finally the fact that singnet people cannot connect properly is a BIG issue, because it blows away the chances for people to get into the game and appreciating it. This, in a nation which probably has
the highest per capita potential demi playerbase in the world, given the cultural phenomenon DOTA has become.
