3rd party Docklets disappeared

all that's left are question marks.

So I restarted Object Dock one day (because left clicking on my explorer icon showed a context menu with only a restore option instead of opening explorer - but that is another post) and after the restart all of my docklets are gone with only question marks in their place. That is except for the clock docklet which is still there and working fine.

Now the really weird thing is that the dockelts are still in the Stardock>Object Dock> docklets folder but they don't appear when I right click on the dock and choose Add>. I only see the docklets that come with object dock - battery meeter, msn docklet, websearch docklet etc. But I don't see the Windows startmenu2 by AndreasV, calendar by AndreasV, and the animate shortcut docklet. And, as I said, the stardock clock docklet is still in the dock and running fine.

Any ideas what is up? or how to get the 3rd party docklets back in my add menu and on the dock?

Thanks.

you may have to clear the cache and start the dock afresh

How would I do that?
And why would it happen, do you think?

Thanks for the tip

I don't have access to WC from here.

Corky_O has a site that has bunches of ODock articles/tutorials, one of which is Clearing the Cache 101.

I snagged this link from anothaer post... I just can't check it to make sure it the cache one.

If not, it will be close just look on the right of the page if this isn't it.

It can happen if somewhere the memory of what should be glitched.

Once you get set up the way you like it, do you save it as a theme?

Close Bichur ....

I just went through the OD posts I could at SD and looked for a link with Corky's name in it.

ooh... spell checker in Firefox thinks Bichur should be:

churlish, churning, churl, churls or taichung.
crap. Koasati gets better choices

Are they large blue question marks by chance? If so then these are SysStats docklets and it could be that the SysStats install had somehow died.

I recommend getting the latest version here: http://sysstats.jools.net/Code/download.php or here: http://www.dockex.com/items/38/download

You can just install it over the previous verson quite safely ('install' is really just unzipping the files to the right locations). After that, rightclick the blue '?' and choose 'Load...' to reload your docklet.
