Installed Object Desktop and now windows doesn't work!

I installed Object Desktop this morning and rebooted when promped; when I did windows booted up to a desktop with no taskbar or icons, and I can't right click. My mouse works, my start button doesn't, and the only thing I can do is open up the task manager by ctrl-alt-del. I can start windows in Safe Mode. What the hell is going on?!?! Edit: I'm running Windows x64 Professional on an Athlon 3700+ w/ 1 gig corsair xms ram, so system specs SHOULDN'T be a problem =)

Since Object Desktop is a bunch of programs...

Did you do them all at once?  By disk or download? One at a time through SDC?

64 bit versions are a little tricky with SDC, Im not particular on the hows and whys, but I know some of the proggys won't work on the new 64 bit proccesors.

Once you get in (safe mode I'm guessing) look in SDC & see if you installed the 5.002 version of WB...if so uninstall it through SDC - uncheck the 'show pre release' down at the bottom and the 5.001 version should show up...install that one and see if it helps.

I can't remember/find which ones (or which version of which ones) may not play nice with 64 bit.

If you already had the 5.001 version of WB installed (or rolling back to it doesn't help) - then I suggest uninstalling everthing you have installed through SDC [i've had 'auto archive checked so long I can't remember...but I think it archives prior to uninstalling...if you check that first...restoring an archive is quicker than redownloading], then installing {or restoring if the one archived was a release and not a beta} one at a time (make sure 'show pre release' is unchecked) until you find which one(s) is/are messing you up.  Once you find one that causes issues, note it down and uninstall it.  Then once you have the releases that work for you installed...you can go back, check 'show prerelease' and then {one at a time} see if the beta version fixes for you the issue caused by a release version.
