Unloading Windowblinds doesn't completely restore default windows xp theme

When I unload WindowBlinds, the default Windows XP theme is not completely restored. The rounded edges and shading used on borders, menu bars, and the taskbar for the Windows XP Theme cannot be recovered. Is anyone else having this problem or the solution? Thank you!

It's not a problem. Just apply the Windows XP theme from the default Windows XP display properties screen after you have unloaded WB.

mine usually reverts to 'classic' when I unload.

try what Orbitalex2000 said

or try loading WB and then in configure look all the way to the left for the default XP theme and apply it.

Yeah. My reverts to classic as well. Even when I manually choose the default Windows XP theme from the display properties, the shading and smooth edges don't return.

Sir Bichur, does it work for you?

I'll have to let you know later - not at home to really look - don't usually unload WB unless I'm updating it.

try choosing the default theme and then after WB unloads, go into properties and see if it's on default or if it's 'modified' - if modified, then apply the default (again)

I tried what you said, but it still goes back to classic. When I try to set it to Windows XP, there is no preview window in the sample box. The start menu doesn't appear when I set it to Windows XP either.

I find that the only way to truly revert it back to the Windows XP theme is to restore my computer to that point. But I'm afraid that if I keep my current theme (which I really like) for a while, I won't be able to restore my computer to an earlier point without screwing a few things up.

Look in the resource file in windows. If the Luna them is no longer there you can get it here. Just put it back in the resource file and you will be good to go. You can get it here under line 187. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm.

Is it just me, or has there been a one or two new threads every day about this?

I tried to load the Luna theme, but got the same exact results. Thanks for your help though!

chose xp style default in Wb config - skin switched to classic as WB unloaded itself.
went to properties - showed xp style modified - switched to xp style - alls good. got 3 choices, blue - green - silver

taskbar, start menu, shadings...all good

WB 5.00b[b].002 aka WB5 (5.00(build 58 x86))

awesome! Everything's working fine now. Maybe it's because I haven't restarted after loading my skin. I boot my computer and just did exactly what you said, and everything is fine! Thanks for everyone's help!
