I loathe the windows 11 start menu, I really do. But it got one  thing very right, especially for large and ultrawide monitors the start menu is always in the center of the screen no matter where the button is located.

The settings in Start 11 "Centered" or "Left Aligned" only control the anchor of the start menu and windows/pinned items. The menu always opens where the start icon is located, which honestly is almost vestigial anyway because, I very rarely even click on it, I only ever press the windows key. 

As much as I appreciate the advances in Start11v2 I almost have buyers remorse for upgrading my license when I will probably just go back to using the W11 start menu that I hate, because at least it opens in the center of my 34" ultra wide instead of randomly around my screen depending on how many apps are open, or, all the way to the left requiring me to literally turn my head to look at it.
