Dear Stardock Team,
I’m a user of Start11 and WindowBlinds 11, and I truly appreciate the customization options they offer. However, I’ve encountered a usability issue that I hope can be addressed in a future update.
Issue:
When applying certain Start menu styles (especially dark or themed layouts), the font color in the Start menu can become too dark or low-contrast, making it difficult to read. Currently, the text color seems tied to the overall theme, with no direct way to adjust it independently.
Suggestion:
It would be incredibly helpful if Start11 could introduce a dedicated “Font Color” setting (or a toggle for light/dark text) that works separately from the theme. This would allow users to:
-
Maintain their preferred Start menu/taskbar visual style.
-
Ensure text remains readable (e.g., forcing white text on dark backgrounds).
-
Avoid conflicts with WindowBlinds or system-wide theme settings.
Example Use Case:
I love a specific Start menu style, but the default font color blends into the background. A simple color picker (like the one for taskbar icons in WindowBlinds) would solve this without needing to switch themes.
This small addition would significantly improve accessibility and customization flexibility. Thank you for considering this feedback—I’d be happy to beta-test such a feature if needed!
