Toolbar icons

Ok, there is the option where you can use a set of icons no matter which skin you apply. But say you download a new skin with a nice set of toolbar icons and you wanna use those icons with other skins? I thought once you get that skin and apply it, that set would be available. For example, in John's skin 'CoolSkye' http://skins4.wincustomize.com/SnidelyWhiplash/wb/CoolSkye.jpg I wanna use that set with other skins. Is it possible?

yeah. In windowblinds advanced Config/My Toobars/Always use the toobar icon set selected below

I don't see that that skin comes with the icons and it's not listed as having 'Toolbars Support'.

No no no, what I'm saying is there are several toolbar sets to choose from in 'My Toolbars'. Now, get a new skin, like CoolSkye which has its own custom set. I wanna add that new set to 'My Toolbars' so I can use it with other skins. When I apply CoolSkye the set never shows up under 'My Toolbars' therefore I can only use that set with that specific skin.

Oh I see. When I sort by 'Toolbars support' and download one of those, it does show up under 'My Toolbars' like I was mentioning in my first post. But John's does come with custom icons.

Hush China.......

DJ...bear with me..I'm confused.

CoolSkye does not come with a custom toolbar set...if it does then you're downloading something I don't get when I download it.

I'm sure it's me, but what am I missing?

those toolbar icons, as far as I know have not been released with a windowblind. However their equivalent has been released in the form of system dlls. Which with you can rip them out and put them in a skin. I have done this, and I think that is what snidely has done. You can find somewhere on the net. There are a lot of others like that too. You have crystalmx, icandy junior, and many others. The trick is to know how to take them out. They are in the same format as windowblinds takes, and their is also system animations to go with it. hope this helps

Gooootcha now. Thanks to the three of you.

This is the firt time messing around with the icons. I *thought* when getting a skin with a set they would become available in 'my toolbars'. They *do* but not with this particular skin and others alike--which I wasn't aware of. So there is the confusion.

'ToolBar Icons Support'


I thought this meant that it had them in the wba file. If it has them then they get installed for all skins to use. again am I mistake?

If the icons are packaged with the WBA then you get them...so the answer is yes.
