I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and naturally HAD to install Start11 to fix the terribleness that is the Windows 11 Start Menu (if you can even call it that). One thing I was very used to doing on Windows 10 (and 7) was being able to search by the exe name. For example, to open SQL Server Management Studio, I would just type "ssms" or for Visual Studio Code, I would type "vscode". Is there a way to enable that functionality in Start11?
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. You can still use Windows 11 search by disabling Start11 search. (Start11 config->Search-> Use Start11 search in the Start11 start menu->Turn off)

Unfortunately that does not solve the issue. Windows 11 search is limiting in many other ways. I was just hoping there was a way to have start11 search also include searching by the shortcuts exe name in its search also.

While you may need to alter some of what you used to type, Start11 is smart enough to present abreviated searches
