To be able to replace a few FOSS utilities I was using to enhance my taskbar, start menu, etc. on my Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers, I installed Start11 this morning and later upgraded to version 1.2 when it became available. I think it's outstanding, and I thank you for developing it!
I can think of a features off the bat that would be nice to have:
- 7+ Taskbar Tweaker has an option "Remove extra gap between items" - this is helpful on monitors with not much horizontal real estate and where it's also untenable to have a second taskbar row (as I need that space for apps). This basically just pushes the taskbar icons closer together.
- TaskbarX has an option where when centering the taskbar, you can supply an offset (positive or negative) which basically shows the taskbar off-center in either direction. This may be especially be helpful on Windows 10 where the user may have installed a taskbar app like XMeters, or on either platform where they just want the taskbar icons precisely centered between items that appear on the left (e.g. Widgets) and right (e.g. system tray) sides rather than being dead-on centered.
- On the Windows 11 installation of Start11, when I right-click the taskbar, "Configure Start11..." is an option. However, I don't see this option when I right-click the taskbar in the Windows 10 installation. I would like to same quick access to configuration on Win10 that I enjoy on Win11.
That's all I can think of for now. Thanks for any consideration.
