I just updated and am on build 19044.1618 if that helps. When I booted up again There was a gap where the news button is on the taskbar. I tried different skins but the gap remains.

Are you using Start10 or Start11 with them?
Turn it off.
I like having it there to access my news and weather. I just uninstalled the windows update, but I suspect there are problems on the horizon for these two programs.
