I bought GC3 and add-ons originally on Epic Games, and then bought it seperately for my son via Steam so that we could play together.

He's autistic and designing ships in ship builder really helps him get through tougher days so I was happy to spend £££ I might not otherwise, but to date we have not been able to play a single multiplayer game because for whatever reason even with Epic Games completely uninstalled on his machine when we load the game up both games try to enter the lobby under the one I.D. - i.e it thinks there's only one person trying to join twice. Obviously I have tried to disable the options available to me via the two launchers - which basically means I've tried disabling the social functions and in-game overlays - but I've no clue what else to do.

I tried emailing support before Xmas and have since been reading every article I could find here, on steam, reddit etc, as was requested, but can't find anything that is applicable.

How can I stop this happening? Is it happening because both the Steam and Epic versions are linked to my email addresses? (my son is under 13 so we have to use mine, but that's never been a problem in other games because I have multiple emails for precisely this purpose).

How can I convince the ... lobby server?.. that yes there are two of us and we just want to play via LAN?
