Why this mod was brought to life
I started working on some modular components to add a bit of Star Trek flavor to the game. Much to my disapointment I have been unable to keep this mod modular any longer. It has taken on a life of its own and developed into a much bigger mod than I had initaly intended. I guess that happens with projects like this!
I hope that I have brought a new experience to the GC3 game for you all to enjoy! And I really do hope you do enjoy it and it is not to much of a frustration. The mod is still in Alpha phase due to continued additions and development.
What the mod has so far
12 Major Star Trek Factions (Default Factions are still playable):-
Federation - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style (Including Starbases), Custom Weapon FX and Custom starting system.
Klingon - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style (Including some Starbases), custom Weapon FX and custom starting system.
Cardassian - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style, custom Weapon FX and custom starting system.
Romulan - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style, custom Weapon FX and custom starting system.
Dominion - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style, custom Weapon FX and custom starting system.
Borg - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style, custom Weapon FX and custom starting system.
Breen - complete with Technology Tree, custom Weapon FX & custom Starting System. (Arcean Ship Style)
Ferengi - complete Technology Tree, custom Weapon FX & custom Starting System. (Thalan Ship Style)
Tholian - complete Technology Tree, custom Weapon FX & custom Starting System. (Iridium Ship Style)
Vulcans - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style (Including Starbases), Custom Weapon FX and Custom starting system.
Andorians - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style (Including Starbases), Custom Weapon FX and Custom starting system.
Tellarite - complete with Technology Tree, Ship Style (Including Starbases), Custom Weapon FX and Custom starting system.
All Technology Trees are an on going project and the main reason the mod is still in Alpha phase.

Core Gameplay Changes
Unique Homeworld Traits.
Faction unique Weapons.
Better ship leveling.
Unique faction Wonders.
Age of Expansion extended to around turn 70 on Normal Pace (30 Techs).
AI Strategy changed to fit extended Age of Expansion.
Starbase Hit Points increased to 500.
Starbase's are aprox 33% Stronger.
Manufacturing and Research Improvements produce 5% less across the board.
Starase Military Systems module added. Military only, Requires Fortification Tech and Omega Defence Systems Module. Requires 2 Construction points. (+35 To Beam, Kinetic, Missile Attack)
Adv Starase Military Systems module added. Military only, Requires Orbital Defence Platform Tech and Starase Military Systems Module. Requires 4 Construction points. (+65 To Beam, Kinetic, Missile Attack)
Engineering Systems Module added. Military Only, Requires Zero Gravity Construction Tech. Requires 2 Constructor Points. (+16 Sensor Power, +1 Starbase Range, +100 HP)
Advance Engineering Systems Module added. Military Only, Requires Hull Strengthening Tech and Engineering Systems Module. Requires 4 Constructor Points. (+32 Sensor Power, +2 Starbase Range, +250 HP)
Starbase Defence Systems module added. Military Only. Requires Forification Tech. Requires 2 Constructor Points. (+35 Beam, Kinetic, Missile Defence, +250 HP)
Adv Starbase Defence Systems module added. Military Only. Requires Orbital Defence Platform Tech and Starbase Defence Systems Module. Requires 4 Constructor Points. (+65 Beam, Kinetic, Missile Defence, +400 HP)
All Star Trek factions have unique Beam and Missile weapons for ships and starbases.
Minor Race amount per Map Size increased (26 (Abundant, -2 Per Level) max on Insane and graded down by aprox 10% per map size).
Ship Load Outs changed significantly, you should see more AI Ships with some Shields/Armor/Point Defence/Movement at the cost of
Lower Attack or Range.
Extends Map Size so there is a more gradual increase between Map Sizes.
Increased max objects per map size by 30%.
New FX for the additional Star Trek Weapons.
New Starbase Module, Orbital Defence Platforms, Launches 3 small Orbital Defence Platforms.

Compatibility with GRM
This mod should work with GRM if you DO NOT use:-
GRM - PRT - by looking at these files it is to do with Pirates. In my Mod I have completely changed the Pirate Faction to use a Custom faction so you are not losing out by not using it.
GSM - by looking at these files they are additions to Starbases/Shipyards and Ship Components, again by not using this you are not losing out, due to us both pretty much adding/changing the same things, if a bit differently

Re-hidden vanilla Factions from selection.
Removed vanilla Minor races.
Consolidated ESL Ship Components into one Component due to a bug with the base games use of "One Per Ship".
Added 9 bare bones Factions to replace the Vanilla ones:
Vaadwaur, B'omar, Krenim, Xindi, Suliban, Haakonian, Alsauran, Kazon and Hirogen.
They all use a Default Tech tree and the Vanilla Shipsets.
They are not currently ment to be played, just there as fillers for larger map sizes.

Fixed Mining module. (You can now have mining modules on any Starbase again)

Basic Terraforming improvements can now be used Twice each.
Bioshpheres can be used three times.
This gives you a total of upto 13 tiles(Vanilla is 6) to Terraform per planet(Not including Race specific extras).
