My taskbar is placed on the right edge. Start8 panel overlaps it and is shifted down. Check the image below, I have added correct position with dashed rectangle:
The placement is normal.
The start menu on Windows 7 always overlaps the taskbar in this way with a right hand taskbar and Start8 was designed to emulate it.
