I am playing a tiny map as drenghi

I have a ship with the following attributes:  Escort, threat 0.7, fortitude 2.8, Value 2, Beams 6, Missles 4, Kinetic 0, Shields 24, armor 0, PD 0.

I attack an enemy shipyard with values, 3,3,3,3,3,3.

In the combat phase my ship flies up to the shipyard and then begins to circle it.  The shipyard opens fire and over time destroys my vessel, my ship never fires at the shipyard during the entire encounter.  I have seen many posters talking about missing, but my ship doesn't even fire any weapons at all.
